True to the vision of the programme to develop a professional cadre in Elementary Education ranging from school teachers to teacher- educators and researchers, the programme opens up various avenues for those who graduate from the Department, in both private as well as government sector. Over the years, our students have been successfully incorporated in various capacities in different NGOs, schools, private organizations, fellowship progammes and institutes of higher education. They have created their own niche as teachers, field researchers, curriculum developers, illustrators, research scholars, educational programme coordinators, material developers and teacher educators.

For placements, we get an overwhelming response from prestigious schools in and around Delhi such as Delhi Public School, Shri Ram School, Heritage School, G.D.Goenka, Bal Bharti Public School, Maxfort, Bharat National Public School, Amity International, Bluebells and others. Many students also get placed in Delhi Administration Schools after clearing the entrance for the same. For higher studies, students opt for courses such as Masters programmes in various disciplines offered by different universities for instance Masters in Education offered by TISS, Mumbai, Masters in Education or Development offered by Azim Premji University, Bangalore, Masters in Political Science, English, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Gender Studies and others, offered by Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Jawarlal Nehru University, Ambedkar University or any other university of comparable repute. These opportunities open up further avenues of research and work for the students opting for Bachelors of Elementary Education Programme.
